  • 20060910-Spoon Sessions

Open wide! Here comes the airplane. Whirr! There on the silver spoon is this delicious morsel of banana puree befit for the taste buds of the little baby. Yummy! Baby likes the food stuff. Baby wants more!

Now that baby has grown up there is more to life than those heavenly spoon feeding sessions brought by loving caretakers. Baby has to learn to understand that being spoon fed is not always tasty. This means finding the right answers.

The answers are not always ‘correct’ through academia but it’s a start to help get one’s foot in the door of opportunity. This allows a ‘citizen’ to buy any goods or services in exchange for their hard work.

Education through experience is also hard work. It’s takes a reasonable mind with some intelligence to sort out the vast sources of information. The hardest lessons seem to hurt the most. And the answers do not appear right away too.

Let’s see. I’m trying to make sense with this late night blog. What I experienced is not always nice or loving or good for the soul. But in spite of the weird obstacles that have crossed my path, I wonder if I am getting closer.

I would like to get closer to any truth out there and may have touched base with a bit more each day. It’s like taking a peek out the window little by little and knowing that something great could happen at any one moment.

Let’s see. I think I’m not making much sense yet. The ‘normal’ people who choose to close their eyes and ears are airheads and will continue to live a blissful life towards ego. This includes expensive houses and lifestyles, fancy clothes and accessories or enhancement for body and mind, for examples.

The ‘weird’ people who see things or hear voices have paid a great price for either knowing too much or being blessed without knowing better. If people realize what really is happening, I believe they would go nuts too.

    Here is a fine illustration:
If someone from ‘Location A’ reported two redwood trees have fallen, should someone from ‘Location B’ believe that those trees from ‘Location A’ really fell? And, how does someone from ‘Location C’ prove that either one tells the truth? Darn! That’s a hard one!

Don’t we all want to know why that September 2001 event had to really occur? Don’t we all need to know how that information is proven so far? Should we believe that those spoon feeding sessions during our infancy involved airplanes that carried morsels that are supposed to be made out of bananas?

    My conclusion:
I believe most of us are still infants who depend on being taken cared of until we all grow up into smarter beings. This means our current understanding of any grand scheme is at best limited and we will continue to believe anything being spoon fed to us.

The burden belongs to those who know how and why the real world operates. The responsibility therein lies within each person willing to spit out that banana puree, tell the whole truth and perhaps risk (or sacrifice) their lives in the process.

P.S.  I enjoyed banana puree when I was an infant, by the way.

  • 20060910-Water Folks

Heart of Africa calls to me.
There is much work for all to see
by the return of blessed rains.
From green forests to crystal falls,
    happiness is there without walls
or sad dryness upon the plains.

Break your chains and return to us.
    Remember nature and confess.
All is not lost to the unknown.
    Friendly faces with cheerful smiles
    warm lovingly for many miles.
As colored petals, you have shown.

    Pebbles are thrown into water,
though your daughter and sons have grown.

Author’s note: First attempt at Jeffreys Sonnet poem.

On 09-06-2006, I totally cried after I first read his Example # 1 poem.

  • 20060910-Flowery Sunday

Image source: IMG_2249 taken on 9/10/2006 11:03:56 AM via Canon PowerShot A610 camera.
My photo showing flowers displayed on tables at the West Gate Mall in Saratoga, CA.

The current time is 02:22PM and I have finished reading more articles to make me think too much. I am also inclined to laugh at myself as I continue to struggle with understanding what people are telling each other.

I awoke this morning around 08:44AM to the smell of fried food from downstairs and to the sound of ‘Kali-Maw’s knocking on the wall to announce breakfast is served. We had two toasts with butter and fried eggs. ‘Kali-Maw’ and I had our usual dose of coffee while ‘Shiva-Paw’ had his warmed milk.

Cleaning up was the done after listening to ‘Kali-Maw’ converse about how people need to help those in need, especially those being harmed. I’ve learned that retired folks don’t have much pension because of other costs being tacked on to cover the increased benefits elsewhere.

I took my much need shower with my new lavender scented suds to wash away my stink. Then all three of us headed out the door around 10:30AM to enjoy the Sunday. The day was indeed sunny with clear blue sky overhead.

We decided to go get four different crinkly cotton fabrics for ‘Kali-Maw’s sewing project. I’ll be getting three pants to wear around the house and hers will be a blouse to match her pants. But we arrived too early at 10:45AM because the stores in the West Gate Mall in Saratoga, CA didn’t open until 11:00AM.

While waiting for the stores to open, we did see lots of flowers that were on display at the mall floor. These have been judged and I took photographs of some flowers to add to my collection. The attached photo shows lots of balls shaped flowers. I love their shape and are quite round.

Others are huge and monstrous and almost as tall as a small child. Some had petals that stuck out like a bad hair job. Several were fiery in red color or soft as pink. There were single shots and others presented in three or five arrangements.

So after enjoying the flowers, we managed to get our sale items. But before we left the Hancock Fabrics store in Saratoga, CA, we complained to the cashier that this ‘cucaracha cutter’ was being snotty to us by claiming that ‘you don’t need education’.

Note: People, if you hear this sort of crap from non-Americanized mentality, this shows that they themselves are smart, right? Too bad she showed her true color by knowing better than the three of us college-educated folks. Like I said, we too worked hard to get where we are today.

We headed off to the Great Mall in Milpitas, CA; so ‘Shiva-Paw’ and I could walk up an appetite. We left ‘Kali-Maw’ at the fountain area. From 11:45AM to 12:30PM, ‘Shiva-Paw’ and I talked little as we made a figure-eight path to cover the mall.

We arrived to see ‘Kali-Maw’ has been talking to an Ethiopian woman of golden skin. ‘Kali-Maw’ has a friendly face that children love to smile up and her conversation with the African stranger was left interrupted as ‘Shiva-Paw’ headed off to the toilet; while I went to get more coffee to quench my thirst.

The Starbucks place took too long to process: reloading my card for 5.00USD notes; ‘Kali-Maw’s Freshly Brewed coffee of 1.40USD notes and my C.L. Mocha espresso of 2.40USD notes. After waiting, my parents came over.

So we decided to drink our coffee and have lunch at Popeye’s chicken place. We shared spicy fries and chicken parts of mild spice. My parents had mashed potato with Cajun gravy. The meal, for me, was salty.

After that, we went home and I used the toilet quite well. That means I’m eating too much yet good enough so that the production doesn’t hurt either. (Sorry: I’m gross! ) Laundry is being done and I’ve little more to add to the blog.
