  • 20100228-Noticing Numbers

While reading the homepage to Yahoo! News and seeing the photo of a broken street and the headline about 708 deaths from the Chile earthquake , I let out a sigh. Then my computer monitor let out a soft pop. I looked up at the atomic clock and the time read 11:22p.m. The seconds were around :40. I see that double digit number of one (or eleven) and of two (or twenty-two) again!

Who are you? What are you? Hello!

  • 20100228-Prayer Journal

After waiting mysteriously longer than usual for my favorite `Christian` website to load,  here is the most recent `Evening Prayer` for Monday, March 1, 2010:

    Angels bless and angels keep
.
Angels guard me while I sleep.
Bless my heart and bless my home
.
Bless my spirit as I roam
.
Guide and guard me through the night
and wake me with the morning’s light.
    Amen.

  • 20100228-Closing Ceremonies

The three of us watched the `2010 Olympics Closing Ceremony`. I was rather pleased to learn about Canada of snow-filled landscapes beavers, moose, ice hockey and maple leaves and about its people, who say `Sorry` frequently: lumberjacks, mounted police and famous actors, like William Shatner, Catherine O’Hara and Michel J. Fox.

I liked the projections upon the circular screen above and upon the floor below; the hand off of the Olympic flag from the Mayor of Vancouver to the IOC President and then to the Russian; the touching speech by John Furlong, CEO of the Vancouver Organizing Committee; and of course the singers of the Russian National Anthem and the butterfly lady and ballad dancers.

However, I saw lots of stuff that is not mundane. First, the central theme of the stadium is the burning torches of five flames. That reminds me of a five-pointed star. The participants formed an eyeball in the middle of the stadium: the pupils are the five-flaming torches; the iris is circular and the out rim is ovoid in shape.

There were pixilated glitches for two Americans: One was the `Flying Tomato`, who was walking away after he said a few words and the other was the Lindsey Vonn, who was seated and looking up at the snow falling while Neil Young was singing.

  • 20100228-Star Blazers

OMG! I just recalled a VERY old Japanese animated series on television during my childhood called: STAR BLAZERS! So I searched on the YouTube.com website and came across two versions of the introduction to the show – old and new, respectively:

    • Star Blazers intro (english) by Oggmonster on October 10, 2006, 01:48 PM:
    • Star Blazers Rebirth / Yamato Intro by wsexe1234 on November 08, 2009, 04:05 AM:

The former is hand drawn by cartoonist and obviously blurry. The latter is in high-definition and totally AWESOME! I love Japanese animations! YAY! DOMO ARIGATO GOZAIMASU!

Here are the opening lyrics to the former (or old) version of the animated cartoon show:

    We’re off to outer space

    We’re leaving Mother Earth

    To save the human race

    Our Star Blazers

    Searching for a distant star

    Heading off to Iscandar

    Leaving all we love behind

Who knows what danger we’ll find?

We must be strong and brave

Our home we’ve got to save

If we don’t in just one year

    Mother Earth will disappear

    Fighting with the Gamilons

We won’t stop until we’ve won

Then we’ll return and when we arrive

    The Earth will survive

    With our Star Blazers

  • 20100228-Humor Time

Out of sheer friggin’ boredom, I recall two of my favorite television commercials for Wendy’s – `Wendy’s® is the real choice in fast food. We deliver quality fresh food with real ingredients that provide the best tasting fast food at wendys.com.`

So I browsed the YouTube.com website and came across two parodies:

I’ve fallen and I can’t get up! by ddonq on November 15, 2008, 08:14 PM:

Wendy’s: Where’s the Beef? (2008 Parody of Original) by JamesVDeStefano on September 04, 2008, 09:01 PM

    Enjoy! Haha!

  • 20100228-Beautiful Day

Today is beautiful! The sun is shining and the skies are crispy, light blue in color. The air is cool but not warm enough to give our six, slightly stinky parakeets.

Early this morning and en route from the post office to McDonald’s via the south-bound on-ramp to Freeway 680, I saw one long chemtrail to my left, which is eastward. It appeared to cut from south San Jose towards and almost parallel to Mt. Hamilton.

While Paw and Maw were still talking in bed together, I decided to mail off a piece of letter and then went to McDonald’s to buy some breakfast for the three of us.

At 7:47am, I ordered one `Big Breakfast`, one `Sausage Egg McMuffin`, one small decaffeinated coffee and one small regular coffee for the total amount of $11.09.

Then I went to my car and placed the items on the floor of the passenger seat. Prior to starting my car, I noticed the following numbers:

    • 67,711 (odometer) and
    • 422 (speedometer).

Notice the double digits for seven (or seventy-seven), one (or eleven) and two (or twenty-two)! Also notice the time of purchase looks like a number of a Boeing 747! Who are you? What are you? Hello!

I believe these events symbolize what I should have done more frequently in the past: Consideration of feeding loved ones – once in awhile. That is another lesson.

Addendum-Last edited by flynnsblogs on Sun, 28 Feb 2010 at 11:58:40 am: I just noticed my `Blog stats` to this weblog site reads as follows: 43,111 total views.

  • 20100228-New Year

While eating dinner last night, we watched `The Southwest Airlines Chinese New Festival & Parade` on the television on KTVU Fox 2 or KTSF Channel 26, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Then while I washed dishes the three of us were trying to greet each other `Happy New Years` in Chinese. But because humor overcame us, we made up a few closely sounded ones. Here is my version:

    `Gung Ho! Bok Choy!

  • 20100228-Chilled Out

It’s late in the morning and I came across a recently YouTube.com video:

The President Speaks on Chile Earthquake by whitehouse on February 27, 2010

Since it was late, I viewed the video with the aid of the subtitles, luckily, and kept the volume to the speakers low so as not to awaken the sleeping one next door to my computer room upstairs. Here are the subtitles to his speech that day:

    The President: Good morning everybody.

Earlier today, a devastating earthquake stuck the nation of Chile, affecting millions of people. This catastrophic event was followed by multiple aftershocks, and has prompted tsunami warnings across the Pacific Ocean.

Earlier today, I was briefed by my national security team on the steps that we’re taking to protect our own people, and to stand with our own Chilean friends.

Early indications are that hundreds of lives have been lost in Chile, and the damage is severe.

On behalf of the American people, Michelle and I send our deepest condolences to the Chilean people.

The United States stands ready to assist in the rescue and recovery efforts, and we have resources that are positioned to deploy should the Chilean government ask for our help.

Chile is a close friend and partner of the United States, and I’ve reached out to President Bachelet to let her know that we will be there for her should the Chilean people need assistance, and our hearts go out to the families who may have lost loved ones.

We’re also preparing for a tsunami that could reach American shores later today, particularly in Hawaii, American Samoa and Guam.

A tsunami warning is in place, and people have been alerted to evacuate coastal areas.

I urge citizens to listen closely to the instructions of local officials, who will have the full support of the federal government as they prepare for a potential tsunami, and recover from any damage that may be caused.

I also urge our citizens along the West Coast to be prepared as well, as there may be dangerous waves and currents throughout the day.

Again, the most important thing that you can do is to carefully heed the instructions of your state and local officials.

Once again, we have been reminded of the awful devastation that can come at a moment’s notice. We can’t control nature, but we can and must be prepared for disaster when it strikes.

In the hours ahead, we’ll continue to take every step possible to prepare our shores and protect our citizens.

And we will stand with the people of Chile as they recover from this terrible tragedy.

    Thank you very much, everybody.

I’ve highlighted more clues in bold. It may mean something but I’m not sure exactly what.

  • 20100227-More Spooks

During that evening’s mass, two obese people were sitting in front of us. Of course, I’d recognize noone from that time and felt they were plants. So I set all sorts of jumbled thoughts to them about `Hamburger Heaven`, `Porky Peace`, `Thugish Turds` and all sorts of nonsense.

Then the girl started crying immediately prior to the `peace be with you`. She’d wipe away her tears with the left forearm section of her gray-colored long sleeve, sweat jacket; while her husband held her right hand. He was wearing a red jacket with inner yellow trimmings.

A brief story surrounds a mysterious death of her brother-in-law, who left three young children. The oldest is six years old. I felt no sympathy but rather pissed at the fact I was sitting almost directly behind MORE NUTTERS!

While Ben, “Minh” and Indy were talking with my bio-units, the usher reported how nutty the other participants of that place behave. He has to be VERY tough with these old folks of child-like souls, who do not understand the proper rules of conducting mass.

The Vietnamese are especially stupid. The Mexicans are nasty. Both nationality are verbally abusive. I hear no confrontation from our fellow Chinese parishioners. But in their nutty minds, these persons believe they are helping not only the parish but themselves and their salvations into heaven by serving the `Lord`.

I’d laugh. Pourquoi moi, mon Dieu! Meh!

  • 20100212-More Spooks

In an attempt to drift off into an fitful rest for that Friday night, my mind was noisy with ambient sounds and imaginary voices. A small voice, a male one and perhaps familiar, repeated over and over in the distant background of an alternate reality:

`Why did you do it, Flynn?! Flynn, why did you do it?! Why?!`

If I only could say `I’m sorry` before I died, I would have said `I love you` instead.

  • 20100228-Clear Night

The night skies are crystal clear and I see some brightness from the moon, too. The color of deep indigo have been seen during cloudless, twilight skies from early mornings and early evening. The stars are shining.
