Oh my gawd! I’ve done and made more of myself as funny as a fool. I’ve renamed the title of my ‘Home’ page to reflect my epitaph: ‘In memory of FürInDuh-San: Laughed out loud and died from fun!‘ This appears as the title on top of my ‘static’ (or front) page for those coming into the main webpage; since the header section to my ‘Blog name’, ‘Flynn’s Blog‘ does not contain the element for the ‘Tagline’, which is my epitaph.
So I noticed that the upper left hand corner for the Windows Internet Explorer spells out my epitaph, as well as the other pages, except for ‘Recent posts’, which merely spells out my ‘Blog name’. But this is in ‘Preview’ mode while logged into my account. I’ll have to test to see exactly how my epitaph would appear to the public readers.
It makes more sense to remove the duplication of the word ‘Home’ as the title from my ‘static’ (or ‘Front page’), which already says ‘Home Sweet Home!’ in the body. The redundancy is already obvious from the word definitions found for the ‘Help’ and ‘FAQ’ pages. The other pages, ‘Stats’, ‘About me’, ‘Contact me’, ‘Contents’, and ‘Site map’ are self explanatory.
I think this newest theme, ‘Pool’, is a keeper. As I mentioned in my previous blogs, I keep saying that I like the current theme despite some imperfections I keep seeing and end up finding something better. So hopefully, I’ll be a happy camper this time and let my blogging begin once again without interruption.
The only slight drawback was the reduction of the font size to the ‘header 2’ from 1.5em to 1.2em in order to accommodate my long epitaph. This made the rest of the titles for the posts and pages appear smaller, which is fine for now even thought I really like the titles to come out larger than the rest of the body.
Addendum on 03/29/2008 at 11:11AM: Okay, I’ve restored the original title of ‘Home’ to my ‘static’ (or ‘Front page’). Instead, I uploaded a .jpg image of my epitaph and set that as a background position of 10% (from the left) and 90% (from the top). The image is blurry but that’s the compromise for the lack of a ‘description’ that I sort of needed to commemorate ‘moi’.
