  • 20080324-Annoying Synchs

Duh! For the past few weeks, nay, some years now, there have been MAJOR synchronicity occurring that others would not care to notice. My previous blogs have already recorded some of these events while there times I choose not to enter into my weblog because I’ve gotten used to these minor tests of wills and my effect to think positive no matter how annoying the circumstances.

Most of the time these syncs would be on the road while driving and upon the intersection of said events ‘stranded’ drivers would suddenly hop in their cars, signal their intention to pulling from their parked location, would open up the trunk and ‘pretending’ to do something from the back end. Public workers would move, place or remove the orange-colored, plastic cones of the streets.

Today, I had flicked off some rude driver that wasn’t courteous enough to let me through the far right lane after the two left lanes where blocked off by the police due to some accident that was already cleared at a small intersection. To the dismay of Paw and to the horror of Maw, I will never change as I continue to subtly flick off these annoying syncs.

Anyway, I would notice double digit codes from the clocks while going about my normal daily activities. This includes the time speeches began and ended while watching politicians, for example, on televised programmings, some of which contain hidden messages. I like to play word associations and image clues being found somewhere within the ticker running along the bottom of the screen, too.

I would assume these syncs were addressed to me. Yesterday, a certified financial planner (or CFP) whose last name happens to be my nickname appeared on CNN in the morning. Two previous guests had last names similar to my nickname, by the way. Also, my recent blog has take on lots of pastel colors of pink, blue and purple – some of which could be seen on the wardrobe of television personalities.

Like James Carville (who wore a pink shirt and a purple tie with pink dots) and his public blast about the traitor, Bill Richardson’s endorsement to the racist, Obama Barack, I prefer to stay loyal and ‘stand by [my] man’. But as a friend (whom I ‘found’ to be straightforward and honest but buckteeth ugly) told me once, he didn’t trust anyone, including Pete!

With my eyes and ears wide open, my lips zipped and my trap shut, my challenge of a lifetime is to learn how to overcome my lack of trust in people around me (including the people I ‘love’ [puking] and my lukewarm of faith in an invisible and deaf God, who doesn’t seem to answer prayers for all the selfish reasons, keeping people like ever hopeful.

Until the horse’s mouth whines about the long winded and overdue delays and until the cows come mooing home from their range after feeding and pooping, I could choose one of many paths that would make news headlines. At 11:11PM, I had a major flickering of my viewable light, not the light bulb failing, but a signaling to my mind that I should not point fingers or call names of any person.

This, like being a ‘SLIder‘ of all sorts, is one of many synchronicity that continue all around me. And I’ll take this as a signal that I’ll leave up to those who know better than me. Whoever or whatever that or those entities may happen to be, I will never know as I remain oblivious to the outwards obvious signs, such as heart-shaped messages of love. Fine! Then I believe all is well!

  • 20080324-Modifying Again

Today, I’ve been unsuccessfully modifying my ‘DayDream’ theme of WordPress, first by adding green color #009900. After a couple days of researching the ‘Faq’ and ‘Forum’ sections of WordPress and doing general searches online, I still cannot figure out how to remove the horizontal scrollbar. Each time I would ‘Zoom In’ and view my weblog, an extra ‘white space’ (or my color purple background #666699) appears to the right of my wrapper’ (or ‘container’).

The one column layout of this ‘DayDream’ theme is ‘fixed width’ but since I paid for a CSS upgrade, I am able to set the ‘flexible’ width to 100% for most with 90% for the ‘sidebar’ without entering pixels (px) or preferably ’em’ instead. This means readers with wider screens can see more of my ‘entry’ (or ‘content’) without scrolling horizontally.

But for those who view larger ‘Text Sizes’ (i.e. via the Internet Explorer browser, like mine) the fonts get too large for my ‘header’ in which the ‘description’ portion disappears below and into the ‘topbar’ (or navigation bar), which becomes two lines instead of staying put inside its respective ‘blocks’. The post ‘entry’ fonts are nicely ‘contained’ in their width of 95%.

I learned that setting the ‘overflow’ to ‘hidden’ should have eliminated the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom but WordPress knocks that program out each time I try to save my edited CSS stylesheet. My frustration (besides the ‘long overdue’ delays a few minutes ago) will never be satisfied due to the imperfection I keep seeing with my weblog.

So I uploaded another Microsoft clipart of a purple line and set that as a background with ‘repeat’. Now for those using the ‘Zoom In’ beyond the normal 100%, viewers will get to see the ‘grooviness’ of wavy pattern, not quite psychedelic but close enough, to the right of the main portion of my blog. I was thinking of pictures but those are seen behind my ‘wrapper’.

I’ve been comparing my layout with another website by WW. Their version inspired my one column monster. Then after entering a response to an egg-shaped object a few minutes ago, I saw the websites by Shrimpsei. His has taken on a deeper violet hue recently and away from the fruity, magenta color, which happens to be closer to the pink variety.

I don’t know what’s going on but I think we web designers are either damn bored or having fun making our hard work prettier. Have you noticed the pink and purple colors in our news persons’ wardrobe? I do. And they are hinting: ‘What’s next?’ All I have to add for now is: Stand by and do the best you could. Because I have no idea what TPTB wants!
