Tuesday afternoon went well. After leaving the table during the debate with ‘Kali-Maw’ and ‘Squirrel-Ling,’ I took my much needed shower and then got ready in another half hour. As usual, I had a hard time deciding on what clothes to wear to the New Hire Orientation at ‘Sickos.’
The deal was to take the half day off on Tuesday for staying late last Friday, 05-25-2007. ‘Aura Witcheyes’ allowed us to leave at 13:00PM, which was nice of here. I didn’t realize what a bad habit I had for staying over to make sure the payments were posted on the same day.
So I parked my car on the second floor of the four story parking lot and made my way slowly to the Marriott Hotel, where the event was to take place. I clogged my way slowly under the heat of the sun for a good ten minutes and was feeling overheated by the time I got there.
The ballroom was on the other side of the building and had to ask the front counter for directions. Some more walking was done until I got to a line to pick-up my badge and then another line to pick-up an I-9 form that I didn’t fill out since I was lacking one document from Column B.
I sat down once to a table near the front and decided to sit slightly off the left of the main projection screen. For awhile, I thought I was the only one but two engineers came over: ‘Jet Ski’ and ‘Lon Jhuo.’ We talked for awhile but barely hear them with my ‘flu-like’ symptoms plugging my ears.
Later one more to my right and another four guys (of one taller red head with a goo-tee) filled up my table. I felt like one of the boys with my ‘priceless’ diamond earrings and two shiny blings on my ring fingers. I had my bright pink lipstick on and my blue jacket, which I put back on after feeling frozen from the glasses of ice water.
The event wore on with one ten minute break and later we were on our way out the door with our free gift item. The blue lunchbag contained surprises of: pen, mouse pad, mini-mouse, two key chains, earphones and planner.
I shared those gift items with my parents and found myself eating dinner with them. I did ‘Kali-Maw’s pedicure and swept the patio free from our nails and skins. The air was windy and cold. The night was more blogging.
