Aaaiiieee! There are Bible thumpers at work! I hate when people preach to me and in my face about their faith and belief. I sincerely do not dislike these hard workers for trying their best to sway my worldview about religion. But I’ve had enough self education to know better of my tolerance for further influence.
I will, however, hear them out because they should be at least given a chance to hold onto their hopes in this manner while living in this harsh world. I noticed that their glazed over eyes cannot hide their past history no matter how much their religion may have provided them a fresh start from their bad choices in life.
I am not into charity and definitely cannot give them a penny to add to their hard earned hit points. This is no way to enter heaven! Neither is sitting with a bunch of strangers and pretending to enjoy their blow holes flapping their hot air into my congested ears holes. I have actually snored through one sermon. [My bad!]
I refuse to be encouraged or invited into their boxes. I especially refuse to let those Jehovah Witnesses or Mormons, who knock at my door to be let inside my house box, too. For whatever reasons, they would visit our house but not other neighboring houses. Once again, I will have to write my long head letters to remove our address from their lists.
In reality, these groups are to be pitied for being ‘saved’ from their humanity. I cannot believe certain people continue to hold onto every freaking words printed on black and white, especially the Bible. The words have been written eons ago by old farts, who may have deleted (burned) some vital passages or modified (plagiarized) some text to suit their needs.
I love any knowledge widely available and there are other printed materials, such as the Torah and the Koran, to help balance my understanding of why religious groups preach too much. If people study the history of their religion, that could help them understand why there are so many versions of the same truth.
For the most part, I have been born and raised Catholic in a Filipino family. Before the Spaniards came over and coughed into the faces of the Filipinos about their better version of worshiping, there was peace with nature. Now there is greed and pollution.
Gee! I wondered what happened along the way. Surely, the contamination was not radiation in this sense but the pollution of the truth, which is the harmony without the garbage of fear to be saved or the sacrifice to work hard but to know that the almighty has always existed, even prior to the building of the Egyptian pyramids.
P.S. Allelujah! You’re saved! Now shut up and get back to work!
